Baname Khuda!

Fellow Zarathushtis,

today is Behram roj of Ardibehest mah, YZ 1377 (Mon, 8th Oct 2007).

On this day is the Salgreh of these agiaries:

* Seth Hormusji Banaji Wadia Adarian, (housed in the premises of the
Wadiaji Atashbehram), Mumbai

It was consecrated on Behram roj, Ardibehest mah, YZ 1175 ( 26 Nov
1805) and is 202 years old.

* Minocher Homji Agiary, Navsari
It was consecrated on Behram roj, Ardibehest mah.
Mr. Giara's book mentions that the original fire was established way
back in YZ 1057 (AD 1686), which makes it 320 years old.

It was again consecrated on 10 May 1862.

Yet again, it was re-consecrated on Behram roj, Ardibehest mah, YZ
1268, which makes it 109 years old.

Could we stick to the original date of YZ 1057, and make it 320 years old.

What exactly happens when an Adarian is re-consecrated, does its
original birthdate fade.

What is the exact ceremony for re-consecrating an Adarian.

Will some Mobeds or Ervad Sahebs or scholars please throw light on
this important topic since many times we encounter an instance of
re-consecration.

* Mullan Anjuman Daremeher, Nagpur
Do we have any residents from Nagpur who may send us a photo or
write-up of this agiary.

Lets pray that our Holy Fires in Atashbehrams, Agiaries and Dadgahs,
and the ones in our households too be live till Eternity and continue
to bless us and the whole world at large.

Lets look after our Holy Fires in the best way we can. If we are Ervad
Sahebs then we have different responsibilities than behdins. Behdins
too can help in the up look of Agiaries by offering their secular
services. If they are accountants, lawyers, mechanical/structural
engineers, electrical engineers, architects, doctors, computer/IT
professional, or even housewives --- humdins can help in the upkeep of
the Agiaries. Those of us who have the time and inclination should
volunteer to be on the Trustee Boards of agiaries.

Agiaries need maintenance and services of all the above professionals
one time or another. Even doctors could look after the Ervad Sahebs
and see that they are in good health.

We can also contribute financially to the Kathi Funds set up by
dedicated gentlemen like Mr. Rustom C. Chothia and thereby ensure that
our Holy Fires get their nourishment. (Incidentally, Mr. Chothia's
Kathi Appeal is broadcasted on TZML every month on the 2nd)

Best wishes to all on Behram roj.

Sincerely
Tehemton B. Adenwalla
